TruthTent publishes conservative news, analysis, and explainers. Our editorial standard is simple: be clear about the facts, be honest about the point of view, and give readers enough context to judge the story for themselves.
Fact Handling
We separate confirmed facts from opinion. A confirmed fact should come from public reporting, an official statement, a government record, a court filing, a campaign release, a direct quote, public video, or another checkable source.
When a story is developing, we avoid pretending the final answer is already known. If a claim is disputed, unclear, or missing important context, the article should say that in normal language.
Original Writing
TruthTent articles are written in our own words. We do not copy another outlet’s article and change a few lines. When public reporting helps frame a story, we use it as a starting point and add context, reader-focused explanation, and our own analysis.
Headlines should be strong, but they should not promise something the article cannot support. Readers should not have to fight through hype to find the point.
Opinion and Analysis
TruthTent has a conservative point of view. That is not hidden. But opinion still has to be tied to facts. A good opinion piece explains why the issue matters and gives the reader a fair picture of the argument.
Images
Featured images should relate to the article. Whenever possible, TruthTent uses real public or source-related images instead of made-up pictures. Captions and alt text should be accurate and should not mislead readers about who or what is shown.
Corrections
If an article needs a factual correction, we update it. Small grammar fixes may be made without a note. Material factual changes should be handled with care and, when needed, explained to readers.
